The Game of Thrones series on HBO based on the book series of --- bringing a fictional medieval world to life has become a worldwide phenomenon. Locations for the show now range across the globe, but the series production base is Belfast’s Titanic studios, a former warehouse just steps from where the great and tragic ocean liner was built and launched.

The “Causeway Coast and Glens Three Day Game of Thrones" is a 250 mile round trip route across some of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful scenery, packed full of activities, sightseeing opportunities, like the most famous landmark of the Giant’s Causeway (see Giant’s Causeway and FinnMcCool), the Carrick-a-Rede (see Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge Cottage) which doubled for the cliff coast of Stormlands, and picturesque Ballintoy Harbour, used as the landing spot for the windswept Iron Islands, while providing interesting facts and plenty of extras for Game of Thrones enthusiasts. The travel route brings the fictional drama to life with a front row seat at the real life locations steeped in local myth and legend, where ancient warriors walked long before the stars of the screen.
Along the way you can stop at the Bushmills Distillery (see Old Bushmills Whiskey Tour), the valleys of Glenarm where battle scenes were filmed, Shane’s Castle, Glenarm Castle, the seat of the lords of Antrim, and the ruins of Dunluce Castle (see Dunluce Castle Antrim), and walk the walls of Londonderry, as well a few of Northern Ireland’s most stunning links golf courses.
