In Switzerland, the age goes up to 16. Book a Swiss Travel Pass and get a Swiss Family Card which allows kids 6 to 15 years of age to travel for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Family card is free, just request one when purchasing the Swiss Pass.
Germany
The German Rail Pass offers a free child discount, providing up to two children between 6 and 11 to travel free of charge with each adult.
Britain
For several BritRail Pass products, one child age 5 to 15 can travel free with an adult with the BritRail Family Pass and any additional children ages 5 to 15 beyond the first two will get a special reduced rate.
