Whether
you’re connecting to other European destinations such as

to Moscow, or just covering the breadth of Germany, the City Night
Line,
overnight sleeper train is a superb way to travel – virtually,
a hotel on wheels. The City Night Line was originally a separate company,
but wholly acquired by the German DB railway, with new updated rolling
stock commissioned. The DB Bahn is setting new standards in overnight
travel, design and style with the introduction of its new updated sleeper

There are three categories of sleeping arrangement travel to choose
from on the night train, a coach seat, a second class couchette (berth)

or wash basin inside the compartment as well as many other new extras
-
a call system, a card key as well as storage space for your luggage.
A good night’s sleep is guaranteed – even at speeds of
of 200 kilometers per hour, the high tech cushioned axles ensure an
undisturbed
rest throughout the night. The new sleeper carriages also provide a
deluxe suite with two to six beds! This spacious compartment offers
two wash
basins, an optional shower and toilet, and two tables where you can
enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the morning before arrival.
City
Night Line trains are made up of compartment or open-saloon style
coaches with reclining seats, couchette cars, sleeping compartment cars
and dining cars. The coaches are air-conditioned and each compartment
has two or
three berths. Couchette cars in 2nd Class have 4 or 6 berths with three
different categories. Deluxe car compartments have a private bathroom.
All lines
have a special section for passengers with restricted mobility. To
facilitate the carriage of baggage, either combined couchette and luggage
cars are used or seating cars with a special luggage or bicycle compartment.
City Night Line overnight sleeper trains are quite affordable at any
level of budget. As an example, a journey from Frankfurt to Vienna starts
from as little as 39 Euros. You can check the DB schedule for accurate
fares or special offers. With one of the varieties of a Eurail Rail Pass,
the fare is included in the pass, the compartment requires a supplement,
