The Lyria is the brand name for the TGV high speed trains which run from Paris to Switzerland,, operated on French and Swiss tracks by Lyria SAS, a jointly owned subsidiary of the SNCF – French National Railway and CFF-SBB – Swiss Federal Railways, using the rolling stock of the latest TGV POS trains. Both a French and a Swiss Manager are on board each train responsible for services and crew between Paris and Switzerland. All the TGV Lyria France to Switzerland trains depart Paris from the Gare de Lyon Station, which needs a taxi from the Gare du Nord if taking the Eurostar from London (see Eurostar Chunnel Train London to Paris).
The TGV Lyria operates along the following routes:
Paris-Geneva: up to 9 train per day; with travel time 3:05
Paris-Dijon-Lausanne: 4 trains per day, with travel time 3:45
Bern–Dijon–Paris: 1 train every day, with travel time 4:45
Zurich-Basel–Mulhouse–Paris: 6 trains per day; travel time 4:36 from Zürich, or 3:03 from Basel
The Rhone Valley route runs through to Brig, with travel time of 6 hrs, for connecting to Zermatt or trains to Italy. Zurich Line runs to Interlaken
TGV trains also connect from Nice and Marseille on the Cote d’Azur.
