Both of these tours are land only, so you’ll have to find your own air transportation to Germany. Lufthansa is the main German airline of which operates codeshare flights with United. If you want to include another city on your own to get the most from a discovery of Germany, you might consider flying into Dusseldorf on AirBerlin the second largest carrier of Germany with direct flights from New York and San Francisco, connecting to Berlin (see AirBerlin EuropePass), or Continental/United is inaugurating a new direct flight from Newark to Stuttgart for a visit to the car museums of Porsche and Mercedes, and if you time it right the autumn beer festival at the Canstatter (see Stuttgart Festivals), and take the ICE train to Munich (see Europe High Speed Trains) © Bargain Travel Europe
