THE SHERLOCK HOLMES PUB RESTAURANT
Watson! The Brew is afoot!

Sherlock Holmes PubFans of the literary mystery character must not miss throwing back an ale at The Sherlock Holmes Restaurant & Pub in London. A few blocks from Trafalgar Square on Northumberland Street appropriately across from the Old Scotland Yard where Holmes might have dueled with Inspector Lestrade. The Sherlock Holmes Pub has been around since 1957 and boasts a re-creation of the Holmes and Watson Baker Street study next to the restaurant. The inn which used to be known as the Northumberland Arms was rechristened The Sherlock Holmes Pub, with the support of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s family. The pub is filled with various artifacts and items such as Dr. Watson’s old service revolver, original cartoons and the stuffed and mounted head of the Hound of the Baskervilles. The Holmes Study display on view behind a wall of glass, visible from the restaurant and the roof garden was acquired from an exhibition assembled for the 1951 Festival of Britain.
